Martin's works are usually presented in exaggerated and polished plastic frames, which combine various limbs and objects and interweave each object together to form an elegant and coherent expression. Influenced by YBA, an important British art group in the 1990s, Martin's creative ideas are rebellious and full of fantasy. His approach to surface and image is part of the heritage of Chicago imagism, like Konrad Klapheck, but he is entirely contemporary, Martin's own artistic vocabulary.

Martin's work has been placed in the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York and has become the target of a new generation of collectors.
